Updated Information
March 3rd , members of the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors held a joint workshop at the Middle School cafetorium on the new conditional use permit (CUP). This was the 3rd time they presented their spill to the audience, and some officials questioned the 3rd presentation.
However, it is interesting to note, there was always some changes in the presentation. One interesting fact about this 3 rd presentation, Green Ridge was unwilling to answer certain questions asked by members of the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors stating those items were “still in negotiations”. Makes a person wonder will there be changes to the new CUP, and if so, will those changes be shared with the public prior to April 21st . A check of the County website on this date, did not show any revised CUP.
COURT DATE SET
A hearing was held on March 21, and it was not a total lost. The judge asked for more information concerning “standing” or the right for CCLA to file the lawsuit on behalf of our supporters. CCLA was provided 15 days to provide additional information to the opposing attorneys and they were given 10 to review the information. The information will then be presented to the judge for his review and further action as necessary. CCLA is working closely with our attorney to gather the necessary information. We will keep everyone updated.
YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT
is vital as we approach new challenges in 2025. One important thing to remember we are being successful – after almost 7 full years, the proposed landfill has not found a home in Cumberland County.
THANKS TO EACH ANDEVERYONE OF YOU!!
