Press Release - Green Ridge Public Hearing Postponed

Cumberland, VA – The public hearing for Conditional Use Permit 24-01 “Green Ridge Recycling and Disposal Facility” is being postponed to a future date, time, and location - to be determined. The Public Hearing for the CUP was set for Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 7 p.m. at the Cumberland High School Cafetorium. The Board of Supervisors business meeting will go on as scheduled for that location and time. Negotiations related to the Conditional Use Permit and Host Agreement between Green Ridge and the counsel for Cumberland County are ongoing and will continue until a future public hearing date is determined. If approved, CUP 24-01 would replace the existing CUP 18-06 approved in June of 2018.
